There has been alot of confusion lately about what is "considered a safe hoverboard"? Well, all of the hoverboards here are safe, but there is one other step now that goes into verifying the safe production of them. This is the UL 2272 Certified Hoverboards certification. This is what all the newer hoverboards for sale will have on them. The "UL 2272" is the number of the listing with UL for this product line that shows it has been thoroughly tested by Underwriters Laboratories. 

The UL 2272 Certified Hoverboards can be seen by the product actually containing the UL hologrpahic style label that is affixed to the unit. So if you have a real UL approved hoverboard, then you should be able to turn the unit over somewhere and actually see the label that says "UL 2272". This certifies that the unit was actually looked over and approved safe for production and sale in the US. 

There are many times customers ask about a Hoverboard Made in the USA, though even though that many of the parts may not be, you can rest assured that the UL Certification will give you a little more peace of mind when it comes to making a purchase. It may cost a little more, but you know you are getting quality and assurance.
